Unpaginated book of rhymes, b/w drawings to every page, undated. 'With all the original pictures and verses by Edward Lear'. The Book of Nonsense was published in 1846 and the enlarged edition in 1861. This edition is probably from the 1930s. Edges of boards and spine are speckled with light discolouring; light surface rubbing and chip to ffep; very light foxing to edges. The jacket is rubbed along most edges and lacks 20 mm to top of spine; chipped and torn to rear flap. The jacket repeats the b/w line drawing from front board, by way of colour picture onlay, slightly rubbed; not p.c. (7s 6d net). The book is in very nice, clean condition internally. 006340
